6/20/2023 0 Comments Metro 2033 redux enlightenedSo I elected to record a full playthrough getting nearly every possible Moral Point in the game, as well as locating all Diary Pages and pointing out various other achievements along the way. I actually thought I did a pretty good job of getting at least 60% of them my first run, but in so doing I did not get the achievement. Unfortunately we don't have a definitive answer on how many that majority is. If you wait too long or shoot the Dark One it won't unlock (although shooting the Dark One is a way to unlock 'If it's hostile, you kill it' once you've gotten this one). After the vision with the Dark One at the end of this final mission (Tower), shoot the target locator with your pistol. If you hear the dark ones whispering 'he is here, he can understand us' as you're going up the tower, BEFORE they start saying 'he has come to destroy us', you'll know you've got it. You won't know until the final level if you've earned it. The above solution is great for a text guide you can follow along, but for those that prefer a video walkthrough I thought I'd put this up since I spent a long time recording and editing this longplay video. Therefore for this one, it is likely just a matter of collecting the 'majority' of them in order to obtain Enlightened. Incendiary Grenades: ”Armory” - Weapon vendor.Unlike Last Light, I do not believe that the Moral Points in 2033 have varying degrees of significance. Sticky Grenade: ”Armory” - Weapon vendor. VSV: ”Black Station” - At the beginning of the chapter a NPC kills another NPC and places this on the ground in front of you.įlamethrower: ”Dark Star” - You pick this up automatically at the start of the chapter. ![]() Kalash: ”Dry” - After Bourbon gets arrested you can pick up his Kalash. Revolver: ”Hunter” - You pick this up as part of gameplay.īastard: ”Exhibition” - You pick this up as part of gameplay. Throwing knife: ”Armory” - Weapon vendor. You can go back through chapter select and pick up or buy certain weapons to get the required kill. ![]() You find most of the weapons naturally throughout gameplay. I have included locations where you can be sure to pick up/buy a certain weapon you may be missing. I have made the following list based on my own gameplay and the Metro wiki. To get this achievement you need to use 18 weapons in total. I don't know if the flamethrower is available anywhere besides the railcar mission (where you should be working on Pyro), but you'll get that kill very easily through natural progression. You should be going for the Merciful achievement in this playthrough, so you have 2 options: kill one of the guards at the beginning with the VSV, then reload the checkpoint (the tracker will note that you used the weapon), or hold onto it if you don't have a silenced weapon and want to take out lights. I actually didn't use a location guide for this at all, just made sure to switch weapons when I could.Īt the beginning of Black Station, Ulman will give you a silenced VSV. If you put down a weapon you like, use it quick and reload the checkpoint (if you can) to get your other one back. Whenever you find a new gun, swap it out and use it. ![]() burns through ammo), Shambler (the automatic shotgun - 6 shots), Bigun (a pneumatic arrow launcher), and Hellbreath (formerly the Volt Driver). The weapons that aren't listed are the Azbats (Heavy Automatic Shotgun. Here's a guide to where a lot of the weapons can be found, although this was written for the 360 version: I then got rid of the Azbats when I found a new gun since I didn't want to waste all my shotgun ammo. I was able to pop this in the mission after I left Sparta at the beginning of D6 in my first playthrough, in the tunnels with the large doors).Īt the Church, I switched all my guns to the Azbats, Bigun and Hellbreath. If I remember, Enlightened comes easier if you only knock oout rather than kill enemies. I would not work on this while going for Enlightened, although I haven't finished the playthrough yet, so it still may be possible. Also keep in mind that modified weapons (like a modified Bastard) works like any Bastard. Keep your achievement tracker up, and you can note which weapons you've used. It's possible that the game double counts weapons (maybe if you reload a checkpoint, like a lot of other achievements where you can farm kills/disarms/etc.). Note: said that he only used the base weapons from the original game, but mine definitely popped after either the Bigun of the Azbats (can't remember which one).
